The Pound Ridge Recreation Department offers many seasonal as well as ongoing programs throughout the year.

At the Town Park, there are ball fields, tennis courts, delightful playgrounds, swimming pools, as well as benches and grills for picnicking.  Other activities, such as exercise programs, bridge group, toddler art, little league, tennis, basketball, and other sports are open to all ages. See our Recreation Brochure below for more details.

New ID Card Notice - The Recreation Department recently has been integrating a new registration program which requires that you and every member of your family, including children 5 years and up, have a picture ID card. Please stop by the Recreation Office at your convenience to have your picture taken. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

Pound Ridge residents and organizations can also benefit from the use of the Town Park facilities and Conant Hall.  The calendar fills up quickly, so if you are interested in using any of the facilities please click here for the form.  If you have any questions about availability, feel free to give us a call! 

Payments methods for programs and activities are  cash, checks and money orders accepted payable to: The Town of Pound Ridge

Recreation Commission

The Recreation Commission meets at the Town House once a month on Tuesday evenings, 8:00 pm with the following schedule for 2010:

  Jan 12th, Feb. 9, Mar.9, April 13th*, May 10th^, June 14th^, July 12th^,

Aug. 9th, Sept. 14th*, Oct. 12th, Nov. 9th & Dec. 14th

Some of the more well known with trails include:

Pound Ridge Land Conservancy

  • Bye Preserve

  • Clark Preserve

  • The Halle Ravine

  • Morgenthau Preserve

  • Mianus River Gorge Wildlife Refuge and Botanical Reserve

  • Wilderness Walk

  • Trinity Reservoir (must register at the Recreation office 179 Westchester Ave. PR)

The Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is Westchester County's largest park, covering more than 4,700 acres of trails for walking or horseback riding, cross country skiing slopes, campsites and picnic areas. In addition, the Trailside Nature Museum (open Wed.-Sun., 9am-5pm) exhibits specimen animals and minerals and local Indian artifacts.
