A police department can never be a success if it does not embrace the needs and desires of its community and review those needs on a regular basis. As a taxpayer or user of the services offered by the Town of Pound Ridge Police Department you are our largest asset in the fight to prevent crimes of opportunity or misguided personal desire. As we embark on our primary mission of providing for the peace and security for the greater community of Pound Ridge , we hope that you will continue to support our efforts by contacting the police department when you believe a crime has been or may be committed. programs such as Neighborhood Watch continue to work in forming strong community bonds and allow neighbor to watch out for neighbor.

The principal mission for the Town of Pound Ridge Police Department is to provide for the peace and security of all residents of the Town of Pound Ridge . This is best accomplished by adjusting responses as they evolve in law enforcement and in the community of Pound Ridge at large. In order to accomplish this task, we train department members with new and innovative policing techniques and we work closely with other law enforcement agencies on the Local, County, State and Federal levels. We enforce all law in a fair and impartial manner at all times.
Our Main Duties:
* Protect life and property
* Use applicable laws and procedures in an effort to prevent crime
* Detect and arrest individuals that subvert established laws
* To actively engage in helping preserve the public peace
Though these are the primary functions of most law enforcement agencies, there are many other services provided by the Pound Ridge Police Department. From assisting seniors, to providing EMS services, to Child Seat Safety instruction and installations, Deer Management programs, Home safety checks, File of Life services, Dark House checks, Alarm registrations, internet safety programs to many other services provided, we look to become part of your family in Pound Ridge as we are all part of the Pound Ridge family and community.
