About Us

Kevin C. Hansan, Town Supervisor

Pound Ridge is one of the best places you could ever hope to live and raise a family. Of course, if you are a resident, you already know this and all of the wonderful things our little Town has to offer. So this is more for those who have heard of our secret hideaway and are considering a visit. We have no trains or busses and no major highways, so we are not easy to find and even a bit harder to get to. Once you are here, however, we do have friendly and energetic residents who are active in the community in a myriad of ways. Our citizens are very involved in the Town, staffing local Boards and Commissions; providing Senior Programs; youth sports activities; donating untold hours at our Volunteer Fire Department and  Ambulance Corps, to mention but a few of our many important organizations. We have  great shops and restaurants; parks for both active and passive recreation; amazing opportunities for hiking and a variety of wildlife that is positively astonishing, especially for being so close to New York City. Our forests, lakes, rivers and rock outcroppings are breathtakingly beautiful, making Pound Ridge a destination for photographers and people who love nature in all its glory. Like all of us already here, once you visit, you will not want to leave. And that is a good thing.

The Supervisor is elected for a two-year term of office, is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Fiscal Officer of the Town.  He precedes over the Town Board meetings.

Kevin Hansan became Town Supervisor January 1, 2018. He has been a Pound Ridge resident since 1995. He and his wife Kathy moved her from the Washington DC area.  Both their kids attended Pound Ridge Elementary and Bedford Central Schools. When Kevin isn't running the town, he is running his technology company.

Pound Ridge is a small town. If you see us at the supermarket or around town, don't hesitate to come up and introduce yourself.
