The town's refuse licensing law requires that anyone collecting refuse obtain a license which is valid for a period of one year.

It is unlawful for any person or company to peddle or solicit within the Town of Pound Ridge without obtaining a valid license as provided in the Town Code.

A marriage license is required for any man and woman intending to be married in the State of New York. There is a 24-hour waiting period before the license takes effect.

The Town Clerk is responsible for the care and custody of all official and vital records of the Town, attends and prepares minutes of all Town Board meetings, administers all municipal and special elections, responsible for all requests under Freedom of Information Laws, Registrar of Vital Statistics for birth, death and marriage records within the town; issues marriage licenses, dog licenses, fishing licenses, hunting licenses and handicapped parking permits. The Town Clerk approves and maintains all bills submitted for payment.

The Receiver of Taxes is responsible for the collection of all Town, County, and Special District taxes.

The Assessor is the official who estimates the value of real property within the Town's boundaries.
