NYS Comptroller's Office 2024 Fiscal Stress Report

The NYS Comptroller's Office has released the 2024 Town of Pound Ridge fiscal stress score of 6.7 out of 100 with 0 being the best score and 100 being the worst. The various score brackets are listed below .

The Fiscal Stress Monitoring System (the System) is OSC’s program to objectively identify issues with budgetary solvency—the ability to generate enough revenue to meet expenditures—for each county, city, town, village and school district. The score is based on various financial criteria including:

Year-End Fund Balance =  50 Points. The most significant measure of fiscal stress. Best score = 0   Worst score = 50
This section tests operational funds(General and Highway) and focuses on Combined Assigned and Unassigned Fund Balance being more than 10% of Expenses and Total Fund Balances more than 20% of Expenses.
