Westchester County's Household Materials Recovery Facility

Westchester County’s new state-of-the-art Household Materials Recovery Facility in Valhalla, located on the Grasslands Campus, will allow county residents to dispose of hazardous materials such as pesticides, batteries, cleaning products, televisions, computer screens and propane tanks, among many others. Old prescriptions can be taken on the first Tuesday of every month, and shredding services will also be available. Recycled items such as plastic, aluminum and papers should be placed for pickup with local municipalities, not taken to the Recovery Facility.
Open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Drop-offs must be made by appointment by calling 914-813-5425.
